Everything you need (and more) to get married at the Wolfville Wedding Chapel:
-
What makes the Chapel different from a traditional wedding venue?
Wolfville Wedding Chapel offers small, intentional weddings without the stress and expectations of a traditional large wedding. Our all-inclusive experiences include an officiant, photography, and a beautifully decorated indoor ceremony space, allowing couples to focus on celebrating rather than coordinating dozens of vendors.
How long is the ceremony?
Short, sweet, and always meaningful. Most ceremonies are 7-8 minutes long, which means you get the moment and the rest of the day to enjoy it.
Note: each package varies in terms of the total length of time you get to spend in the Chapel, which includes ceremony time!
Is there parking at the Chapel?
Yes! And when you reserve your wedding date, we’ll send you more details about all of that good stuff.
Do I need to bring my own decorations?
Nope! The Chapel is always dressed to the 9s and ready to go.
How much notice do you need for an elopement?
If you’ve got your marriage license, we can almost always accommodate same-day elopements. Just say the word and we’ll be there!
-
How many guests can we bring?
Each package varies slightly in terms of how many guests you can bring (ranging from 2 witnesses to 20 guests maximum). We don’t allow more than 20 guests, because we like to keep things intentionally intimate (and we’re pretty sure 100+ guests would pose a fire hazard…)
Do infants count as guests?
If they’re too old to sit on someone’s lap, then they count as a guest.
Are kids welcome?
Yes, of course! As long as they are included in your guest count and it’s the vibe you’re going for.
Are pets allowed?
Here at the Chapel, we consider dogs family members. We’re pro four-legged guests as long as they’re comfortable in new indoor spaces.
Please note: bringing a dog to your ceremony is an additional $50. -
We’re coming from out of province — how does that work?
No problem! You just need to obtain a marriage license from Nova Scotia in order to get married here. The process is very straightforward and simply requires bringing the right paperwork to your appointment. You can find full details on the process here.
Do we need witnesses?
Yes, but don’t stress — if you want to keep your wedding on the down-low and need us to provide witnesses for you, we can make that happen.
-
What’s included in a Chapel experience?
Chapel experiences vary by package, but all include an officiant, photography, ceremony space, and access to the Chapel's signature details including its retro photobooth. Couples can also choose additional experiences such as champagne toasts, flowers, guest additions, and other personalized touches.
How do we reserve our wedding date?

Can we hold a date without booking it?
We can’t hold dates without a confirmed booking, as spots are limited and dates are secured on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can we reschedule?
Life happens, we get it. Reach out as soon as you’re able to and we’ll talk through your options based on Chapel availability.

How much does it cost to get married at the Chapel?
Pricing varies by package, and all pricing is clearly outlined at booking. We will give you options to add on to your experience upon checkout, but there are no hidden fees here.
Do you offer payment plans?
When you make your booking, we take a $250 non-refundable deposit + 25% of your total package price. After that we will connect with you about the payment for the remainder of the booking.
-
Is the Chapel LGBTQ+ friendly?
Absolutely. Wolfville Wedding Chapel is a Rainbow Registered wedding venue in Nova Scotia that proudly welcomes LGBTQ+, queer, trans, non-binary, and 2SLGBTQIA+ couples. We use gender-neutral language in our ceremonies, respect chosen names and pronouns, and believe every couple deserves a wedding experience without assumptions about traditional wedding roles.
Can we write our own vows?
You are always welcome to write your own vows! But for those who are feeling a bit nervous about sharing their thoughts in front of a crowd, we’ve also got pre-written alternatives for you.
Is there a dress code?
“Come as you are” is our dress code.
Is this a traditional wedding venue?
It’s not a traditional venue in the 150-person ballroom sense. But your ceremony will be legally binding, properly officiated, and as personal and meaningful as you want it to be. All the important parts are there — just without the 14-hour timeline and the third cousin you forgot you’d invited.
